FAQ

  • Do you have showers?
    Yes we have showers, fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
  • What classes do you offer?
    We offer four class concepts in the studio you can find out what to expect in each class here
  • What do I need to bring to a class?
    Apart from yourself, just a water bottle and ensure you are wearing suitable clothing and trainers.
  • Can I bring my bike?
    Unfortunately, you cannot bring your bike into the studio because of both space and fire safety, however, there is a bike lock space outside Coffee House which is opposite the studio.
  • Where is Train Yard located?
    Train Yard is located in Clapham North under the railway arches on Lendal Terrace. The closest station is Clapham North Underground (less than 2 minutes walk), Clapham High Street (Overground), Stockwell (Victoria Line) and Clapham Common (Northern Line) are also close by.
  • Do you have towels?
    Yes we have shower and sweat towels available, both complimentary
  • Do you have a class schedule?
    Yes we do indeed. You can find the schedule here or alternatively download our app (Train Yard sw4) on apple or android and you will be able to see the full schedule there.
  • Can I train if I’m pregnant?
    Firstly congratulations! Secondly, you can definitely attend our classes, we have trained many clients that carry on attending classes throughout their pregnancy. However, we do advise that you consult with your doctor before attending any of our classes and please ensure you let the instructor know at the beginning of the class so that they can modify any exercises for you.
  • Do you have water?
    We are plastic free so we do not sell plastic water bottles. However, we have a water fountain for you to fill up your own water plus we sell reusable Train Yard bottles.
  • Do you have changing facilities?
    Yes we have both male and female changing facilities.
  • Are you dog friendly?
    Casper, our gym dog and team member, is here most days, so whilst we are very dog friendly, we do ask you to refrain from bringing your own dogs to the studio. This is mainly because of space but also to ensure the classes are not disrupted and Casper can chill in peace.
  • Do you have any classes for beginners?
    All of our classes are suitable for all levels. Everything can be progressed or regressed to suit your ability and we pride ourselves on being open to all.
  • How do I book a class?
    The best way to book a class is through our app. You can download the app on apple or android under Train Yard sw4.
  • How do waitlists work?
    If you join a waitlist for a class, you will automatically be added to the class if a spot comes available. Please note, you will not be automatically added if you do not have credits available for the booking. In this instance, you will be emailed asking if you would like to be allocated the spot.
  • How far in advance can I book a class?
    If you have a class pack it is 30 days and if you have a membership it is 40 days in advance. If it is via Classpass bookings open one week prior to the class on their site/app.
  • How much is a membership?

  • Can I pause my membership?
    You can pause your membership if you are going away for a month and over, for a maximum of three months.
  • How will I be billed?
    You will be billed monthly from your sign up date, it will be a rolling contract/subscription and will be taken automatically.
  • What’s your minimum membership term?
    Our minimum membership term is three months and thereafter it will be a rolling contract.
  • Can I carry my membership credits over to the next month?
    No, your credits will renew at the beginning of each billing cycle and you cannot carry them to the next month.
  • How do I end my membership?
    If you have had a membership for three months and over you can cancel it at any point by emailing hello@trainyardgyms.co.uk with the date you would like to cancel your membership.
  • What happens if I’m late for a class?
    We have a five minute grace period but after five minutes you will not be able to participate in the class due to health & safety purposes.
  • What happens if I don’t show up to my booked class?
    If you do not attend a class or cancel prior to attending you will be charged a £12 no-show fee. If you have a class pack or our 8 credit membership, you will also lose a credit.
  • What is Train Yard’s cancellation policy?
    If you are a member (Unlimited & 8 Class membership) you cancel for free at any point up to 10 hours prior to the class starting. If you are on a class pack it is 12 hours. If you cancel outside the cancellation window you will be charged an £8.00 cancellation fee. You may move your class booking to another booking that day, providing there is space but this is only if you have emailed at-least two hours prior to the start time of the class you are no longer able to attend, requesting to move to another class that day. You cannot email after the class has taken place asking for your credit or booking to be moved to another class that day. Please also be mindful if there are no slots in the class you would like to move to, you will still lose your class credit and be charged a late cancellation fee.
